Our anatomy scan is in 8 days and I am sooooo excited. I want to, of course, hear that this baby is healthy, but also want to know if there is a little boy or a little girl growing in there. I can't wait to learn the sex and start getting the room ready and bringing out all the baby clothes and looking at them again. Chris and I plan to go out to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory that day after the ultrasound (we've done it with the last two pregnancies, and it's sort of a tradition, and you know I love a tradition) and then do some baby shopping...even though we have lots for a boy or a girl, this baby deserves a couple new things, right?
This pregnancy has been so different than my last two in so many ways...for starters, I have not been as sick at all, which is great. But also I feel like sometimes things are moving so fast with our life and our other two kids that I have to stop to remember, hey, I'm pregnant. And then other times it's so easy to remember when I am huffing and puffing going up a flight of stairs carrying Liam or am so tired I feel like I could sleep anywhere. But overall (knocks on wood), I am going to say this has been the smoothest pregnancy to date - and I am grateful for that.
Pregnancy: 19w5d
Weight Gain: 9 pounds (19 weeks with Liam = 10 pounds, 19 weeks with Lily = 23 pounds)
Sleep: I love it, but it is getting tough, not because of my belly {yet} but because of my hands falling asleep constantly, it has happened with both my other pregnancies, just never this bad, apparently it's pregnancy induced carpal tunnel, it's super annoying and wakes me up constantly to try and get some blood flowing to them
Gender: We have our ultrasound on June 26th {8 days from today, but who's counting? - me!}
Feeling: Lots of indigestion (thank you Zantac for some relief) and terrible cramps
Cravings: Pizza with green olives and garlic cheese bread, also I have been eating about 3 Outshine popsicles per night...no, that's not a typo, 3 per night
Health: So far, so good!
Movement: Finally have been feeling some big movements, it started with jabs to my bladder and now I can feel the little sugar snap pea moving all over the place
Belly: Large, bruising is going away
Frecklestache: With the sunshine it is becoming more visible each day...I am combating it with Neutrogena SPF 110, and might have to wear wide brimmed hats all summer
Current Medications: Arixtra shots once/day in stomach for Factor II, taking prenatal and extra Folic Acid for MTHFR
Next Appointment: Ultrasound June 26th, Appt June 27th
If you have any "feelings" on the sex of Baby K, please vote in the upper right hand corner or leave a comment, I love to keep track. So far with both pregnancies the majority has been right.
Name post coming up this week and of course the evening of our ultrasound I will let everyone know if we are having a boy or a girl. Yeah!!!
